چکیده

This article reports new geochemical, Sr-Nd-Hf-Pb and Re-Os data on the rocks of Middle Paleoproterozoic (1.99 Ga) Tiksheozero ultramafic-alkaline-carbonatite complex confined to northeastern margin Karelian Craton. We focus poorly studied silicate rocks. Based petrographic geochemical research, are subdivided into two groups: an ultramafic-mafic series depleted in REE, other incompatible elements alkaline enriched these elements. Isotope studies showed that all have juvenile isotope signatures were likely derived from a primitive OIB-type mantle source with possible contributions subcontinental lithospheric (SCLM). Insignificant crustal contamination is recorded by Pb Os isotopic compositions. The element enrichment depletion mildly allowance for insignificant confirm their derivation different primary melts. However, narrow range Sr, Nd, Hf, compositions compact clusters 207Pb/204Pb-206Pb/204Pb, Nd-87Sr/86Sr Hf-Nd diagrams indicate origination common source. A model subsequent two-stage melting being most consistent this complex.

Geochemical and isotopic (Nd and Sr) constraints on elucidating the origin of intrusions from northwest Saveh, Central Iran

Three intrusive granitoid bodies from northwest Saveh, central Iran, are embedded in volcanic sedimentary rocks of the Eocene, forming isolated small outcrops: Khalkhab quartz monzodioritic units (SiO2: ~52-57 wt %) to the northwest, Neshveh granodioriticunits (SiO2: ~62-71 wt %) to the northeast, and Selijerd granodioritic units (SiO2: ~63-69 wt %) to the southeast. The Khalkhab unit iscomposed...

The origin of geochemical diversity of lunar mantle sources inferred from the combined U–Pb, Rb–Sr, and Sm–Nd isotope systematics of mare basalt 10017

The results of our combined U–Pb, Rb–Sr, and Sm–Nd isotope study of mare basalt 10017 contribute to the understanding of the petrogenetic processes involved in the origin of geochemical diversity in lunar mare basalt sources, as well as the U–Pb isotope systematics of the Moon. The Rb–Sr, Sm–Nd, and U–Pb isotope systems yield concordant crystallization ages of 3.633 ± 0.057 Ga, 3.678 ± 0.069 Ga...

Origin of the absarokite–banakite association of the Damavand volcano (Iran): trace elements and Sr, Nd, Pb isotope constraints

The activity of the Damavand volcano (Central Alborz, northern Iran) began 1.8 Ma ago and continued up to 7 ka BP. Although the volcanic suite is clearly of shoshonitic affinity, only two petrographic types can be distinguished in the studied lavas: (1) weakly differentiated absarokites (49 < %SiO2 < 51), scattered around the volcano but with a regional extension, (2) highly differentiated bana...

Origin and Source Evolution of the Leucite Hills Lamproites: Evidence from Sr–Nd–Pb–O Isotopic Compositions

Whole-rock major and trace element and O, Sr, Nd and Pb isotopic data are reported for 3.0–0.89 Ma lamproites from the Leucite Hills, Wyoming, USA. The two main groups of lamproites, madupitic lamproites and phlogopite lamproites, are geochemically distinct and cannot be related to one another by either fractional crystallization or crustal contamination. It seems likely that the geochemical di...
